Suspension & Steering Repair in Harahan
If your car clunks over bumps, bounces after dips or the steering feels loose, bring it to our shop on Jefferson Hwy. We'll find what's worn and tell you what really needs doing.
Signs it's time
- Clunking or knocking over bumps and potholes
- Bouncing or floating after a dip in the road
- The nose dives when you brake hard
- Loose steering, play in the wheel, or the car wanders on Jefferson Hwy
- Uneven or fast wear on the front tires
- Whining when you turn, or power steering fluid on the driveway
What we check
We check shocks and struts, ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings, sway bar links, CV axles and the power steering system. Then we tell you what's worn, what's a safety issue and what can wait.
Alignment and tires in the same place
Worn suspension parts chew up tires, and new parts usually mean the car needs an alignment. Since we also do wheel alignments and tires, you don't have to take the car somewhere else to finish the job.
Estimates, warranty and financing
Estimates are free, and you get one in writing before any work starts. Qualifying repairs are covered by our 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty, and financing is available for qualifying repairs if the bill is more than you planned on this month.

Questions we get
Why are my front tires wearing out on the edges?
Usually it's alignment, and sometimes worn suspension or steering parts are throwing the alignment off. We check both so a new set of tires doesn't wear the same way.
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
If we replace parts that affect steering, like tie rods, ball joints or control arms, yes. We do alignments here, so it gets done before you leave.
Is a clunk over bumps dangerous?
It depends on the part. A sway bar link is mostly noise. A worn ball joint or tie rod can affect steering. Get it looked at soon either way.
